They probably didn’t do the spark plug grommets, most people overlook those when changing a valve cover gasket, those will let oil into the plugs

Honestly. If you already had everything out. The $26 shoes can just be replaced. I would at the least clean up that assembly and put some anti-seize on it for the next guy. And sand the coating off the new shoes for highest coefficient of friction. And sand/die grind the drum a bit for a fresh mating surface for the new shoes. And clean up the wheel cause it’s prob got brake dust on it.

there is a tool you should look for, drum/rotor removal thumb screws, or a bolt that fits the threads works just as well. those two holes near the lug holes in the drum, thread into those and as you tighten the two bolts it should walk the drum/rotor off the hub, side note check the star wheel to make sure the lip doesnt hold onto the drum. you may still need the torch to break up the rust on the worse ones, but NO need to use a hammer and chisel, thats a fast way to warping or cracking.

Shit I did my valve cover gasket on my Mazda 3 2014 and it went great. But fuck man not too long I found out one of my valves were burnt and I had low compression in 1 cylinder. Just got another engine in my Mazda 2 weeks ago and my original only had 102k miles. Love the Mazdas I had to keep the car get an engine.

Maybe the valve cover gasket got pinched. It’s a recessed rubber gasket so maybe it wasn’t seated properly

Love that he slid the wheel under the frame rail on the car. If the jack fails or the car slips off it the wheel will catch the vehicle with minimal damage and might just keep him from getting crushed. Since it will keep the car from hitting the ground it makes it easier to get the jack under it again.

I got a 2010 Mazda 3 2.5 standard and man I'm having ac problems replaced the ac compressor, checked all the relays there all good, put Freon in replaced all the seals including the high pressure sensor. I know it's not the blower sensor because my fan works on all speeds. The ac compressor still won't turn on. It works because I tried the paper clip trick and it turns on so you know what could be the issue?

Changed a customers battery, battery was $501(for a 2017 range rover with the stop start function) but got a discount for $401 Charged customer $200 for my services Before i changed battery I did a parasitic draw test incase they ran into the issue again because changing the battery would've just been a band aid fix.
